Count Your Blessings
I heard some very disturbing news today during the blessing of our Thanksgiving meal. Two weeks ago I almost lost my entire family in an accident minus my mother and my son. On my mother's side of the family there are only nine members including myself. We are all very close because we are so small. I looked around the circle in horror at the thought of losing my entire family in one instant. My great grandmother, grandmother, two aunts, cousin and uncle took a trip to Atlantic City Veteran's Day weekend. They were inches away from being in the middle of a three car collision. The car that would have hit them from the back would have directly hit my grandmother and aunt, the car that would have hit them from the side would have hit my grandmother and other aunt. My uncle and cousin would have been hit in the front. Due to quick driving skills and the grace of GOD my family walked away only shaken up. The thought of losing my entire family made me weak in the knees. I am sitting here watching them interact with each other and it breaks my heart to think that at this moment, I could be only sitting here with my mother. Because we are such a small family, our joke is "we can't afford to lose anyone!" Thank you Jesus for making sure we didn't lose anyone that day. That is what I am thankful for on this day.

Wow that is so scary. I am so glad that nothing happened to them.
