The doctor has spoken, the diagnosis is in.

A few weeks ago, I had some pretty bad pains in my wrist. Being that I sit at a computer for most of the day, I assumed it was carpal tunnel. I made a doctor's appointment for that week and by the time I was seen by the doctor, my hands were swelling almost daily amd the pain was up to my shoulder. He sent me to have my blood drawn for diabetes and thyroid disease. Those tests came back negative (woo hoo! they are both hereditary in my family). He also sent me to a neurologist to have a nerve test. My test results came in today and he said that I have what looks like carpal tunnel and I also have a pinched nerve in my neck that's causing the pain and swelling in my arm and hand. I have to go have an X-ray done on my neck and after they see what it looks like from the inside, I'll be sent to a specialist. Sounds like fun, right? I'll keep you posted.
