Andrew,
Four years ago today, I heard a sound that would change my life forever. It was the sound of your cry when you took your first breath. It brought tears to my eyes and made every moment of the 15 1/2 hours of labor and 42 weeks of carrying you precious and worth it. When I finally saw the person who wiggled and flipped inside my body
and danced after a good meal, it moved me in a way that I didn't know was possible. From the moment I saw your face I knew that my heart had finally become whole and the true meaning of unconditional love was right there in my arms.
Each year I look back and it amazes me how much you've grown and become the little person I see standing in front of me and no longer the baby I used to hold in my arms. There's so much in store for you and I’m so thankful that I'll be here to watch each moment as you transition into childhood and leave the toddler years behind. Over the years you have shown me that not only is it possible to love someone more than life itself, it's possible to give more of yourself than you ever thought you had to give.
You are the most charismatic, kind hearted and loving little boy I have ever met. Your heart is
genuine and the innocence and purity that surrounds you is awesome. I love you and I am thankful to not only have met you, but to know what it means to be loved by you.
Happy Birthday to my sweet baby boy.
Love Always,
Mommy
