What a great way to start off the summer!

We traveled to South Carolina in the wee hours of Thursday morning to come down for our family reunion. It was a long car ride, but thankfully I was in a glorious sleep-like coma for majority of the ride. I woke up just in time to go have breakfast at Craker Barrell and send Andrew to the bathroom with my aunt. Other than that, I didn't wake up until we reached the city limits of my grandmother's town. We've been running around non stop since we got here and even stayed an extra day so that my dad could take Andrew to ride horses. We're all exhausted and ready to go back to our own respective homes, but at the same time it's been great being back in a familiar place that holds so many wonderful memories. Not to mention there's no place in the entire DC Metropolitan area that has sweet tea like Sonic on Ron McNair Blvd or chicken strips like Zaxby's in Florence. Those two reasons alone make the 8 hour car ride totally worth it!
