Today was Andrew's first day of summer camp. He took his brown bag lunch and breakfast snack and walked into school like a big boy. When we arrived at his class, the kids were all being hypnotized by the Lion King. Andrew could barely say goodbye to me because he was sucked right in. I gave him a kiss and he didn't even look back. As soon as I got into the hall the tears started flowing.
I called to check on him and they were at the farm and he was doing just fine. He told the counselor "I like animals, but I don't like to be close to them". I'll find out tonight, how successful his day was. Especially since there is not a nap included in the schedule for the day. Let the Cool Days of Summer begin!

Awww Bev. I am sure it was hard for you. I can't even begin to imagine what I will be like for Carter's first day of preschool. I better take a box of tissues with. Sounds like he had a great first day. :)

I know it must have been hard on you for his first day. But be proud of that little man momma...you're doing an awesome job!!
LOL - "sucked in". So glad he didn't have any first day jitters!!
