"Lets pray"

This is what my son said on Saturday morning when we got in the car. His grandmother and I looked at each other and she said "Okay. Go ahead." The tears started to well up in my eyes as my baby started to pray. "Thank you for this day. For my friends and teachers. Thank you for spinach so that we can be big and strong...." He went on to thank God for other things and then closed with "Amen." This meant a lot to me because three weeks ago he would say "I don't know how to pray." At his last daycare they spoke lots of negativity and he'd come home saying "I don't know how to be good, I make my teachers angry." As a mother to hear my child say those things enraged me. No child deserves to feel like they don't have the capacity to do good things. He deserves to have positivity spoken into him and his spirit. Thankfully we are reaping what is being sewn into his spirit.
